What? That's nuts.  You're judging whether a kid has a PBK backpack based on whether they walk to/from the bus alone? My kid started walking to/from school by himself in first grade because he insisted he didn't need his mom to do it with him.  We live down the street and around the corner from our FCPS school. And he gets a new PBK or LL Bean backpack each year because in today's modern age of school supply kits and the death of the Trapper Keeper, it's the only back to school item we pick together that is actually fun![/quote]
