My point is that they have a history of serious manufacturing issues.  I had to have the engine in my Sonata replaced due to a manufacturing defect. It had a bunch of other potentially serious recall issues involving an airbag, transmission, brake lights, etc.[/quote]

You may not want to drive any car sold in the US in that case. Is there any manufacturer without a major recall?[/quote]
