I thought this was first year cooper was an aap center for Langley pyramid so those aap kids would not be in high school yet? I believe the Langley pyramid AAP middle students previously all went to Longfellow. We just moved to McLean and this is what I was told.
2017-18 was the first year that all (or almost all) of the 7th graders zoned for Cooper in the AAP program went to Cooper. The 8th graders could go to Cooper or finish up at Kilmer or Longfellow (see below). 2018-19 was the first year that all (or almost all) of both the 7th and 8th graders zoned for Cooper in the AAP went to Cooper. Before then about 1/2 of the Cooper AAP kids went to Kilmer (I think the ones whose base ES was Forestville, Great Falls, or Colvin Run) and the other 1/2 went to Longfellow (I think the ones whose base ES was Spring Hill, Churchill Road, or Franklin Sherman).
