They are a PITA to clean, especially the top.  I have had to replace 2.  My older sons are tall (6'3" and 6'2") and they hate having to squat down to program the darn thing.  I am putting in a microwave that will slide in and it will be at my eye level in its own part of the custom cabinet.

Mine is like this.  You try getting your arm in to clean the walls and top.  We bought another one that we use and we put it on the counter until the reno.

My DH is 6'7" and doesn't squat down to program it. The controls are practically counter level.

Same here. Our controls flip out. They are facing up, maybe one inch below the counter top. If her kids have to squat down, then the also have to squat down to reach the counter.[/quote]

I'm with the first poster.  We hate ours for the very same reasons.  We actually have the Wolf that she's linked to.  Different strokes for different folks I guess.  In any event, we too hate it and have installed another one in our pantry that we use.  BTW they do still need to be cleaned even if you use a splatter guard.[/quote]
