But when i see reports on the numbers of people prosecuted for marijuana and drug possession, the overwhelming number of black people who are prosecuted in Arlington especially for non violent offenses, Stamos' discovery process, and Stamos' seemingly refusal to even look for ways to address those issues, I find it all deeply troubling. That article the other day about the way Stamos argued so vehemently to detain a child for over a month who simply had mouthed off to a police officer? I wonder how many more instances there are like that. Tafti has received a lot of money, but it is also money given to pursue criminal justice reform - stop prosecuting drug possession offenses, end cash bail, address racial disparities - I think Arlington should be doing all of those things. I think PArisa will pursue that agenda and Stamos on nearly all those issues is hostile to say the least. [/quote]
