Theoretically, kids should play within the jurisdiction that they are - Arlington kids should play in Arlington. But, its Arlington so the grass is always greener and parents are ALWAYS looking for a better team. Most parents go to Falls Church and McLean to play on rec teams, so you may want to look that way. There are rules against it but they are never enforced.
The NVYLL rarely grants waivers to players who want to play out of the club in their assigned jurisdiction. So if clubs are checking addresses then it should not be as easy to play for another club as you describe here. Each player who is trying to play out of their assigned club would need NVYLL approval, which is not an easy thing to get.
See the last May 30 post. Per NVYLL rules, http://s3.amazonaws.com/files.leagueathletics.com/Images/Club/3101/2019%20NVYLL%20League%20Operational%20Rules%20-%20FINAL%20%281%29.pdf at pp. 43-4, the only Arlington HS pyramid not shared with another club is Wakefield. Waivers at the age level that seems to be the case here are not uncommon. We have had several waivers at the K2 and 3/4 level and one or two at higher levels over the years I’ve coached in NVYLL. I’d be happy for my kid to play in any of the clubs available to Arlington kids.
