For years we’ve spent every Saturday at Eastern for DC Youth Orchestra. It’s a beautiful high school. Smart to have that there every weekend.
Me too. My child is only 6 but I have an eye on Eastern as an up and coming school with a nice facility. No reason it could not work out. Every time I am in there (which is most Saturdays) I am struck by how clean it is. How do they do it?
You guys are cute. There are a number of DC schools with beautiful facilities, but failing student bodies and largely unstable of often poor groups of teachers. That's why these schools are under capacity, despite having nice physical facilities. It is easy to marvel at the building itself when you come for something on a weekend. Marveling at the high school and education your kid would get there is a different beast altogether. Let's see if you even keep your 6 year old at your IB elementary before you wax poetic about Eastern.
