Our nanny has an emergency and needs a week off of work. Are there any daycare centers in downtown or NW DC that would take a toddler for a week in this kind of scenario? Double posting in the daycare forum in hopes of as many options as possible.
Have you checked your benefits at work? Many companies offer back up care - either at a daycare center or a nanny.
Fed. No such luck.
I’m sure you’ve double checked this already but just for anyone else reading, many Fed agencies do offer backup care. It’s very agency-specific so doesn’t sound like it helps you, OP. Have you looked at White House Nannies or College Nannies and Tutors? Those are two of the agencies Bright Horizons backup care uses so you might be able to go to them directly.
