I don't get it either. MoCo's twitter feed has had Tweets like this all week: ""County Executive Elrich, Council President Navarro and other leaders are at the Silver Spring Civic Building urging residents to help strengthen Montgomery County by creating a new racial equity and social justice policy." Why do they need to "urge residents" to do something? Why can't the government just set up an advisory group if it's so important?
Note that it all takes place in ‘Silver Spring’ facilities- that’s (& Wheaton) where 90% of the county’s funds have gone these last 10 years while other cities rot because we are ‘too privileged’. We are only eligible for tax increases. But that’s not enough for them! They have been re-elected so it will continue indefinitely. Way to run a great county straight into the ground. MoCo is the Boeing 737 Max 8 of the country
