I joined as an insecure, curious teen and then discovered that most of what happened in that setting to be either super corny or super contrived. My closest friendships grew more organically outside my sorority, not because I declared someone a “sister.” It was all about image and drinking and parties yet wasn’t fun and was time consuming.[/quote]
