In my experience in PGCPS, there is usually another adult in the room in a K class. Between reading specialists, math specialists, ESOL teachers, Special Education educators and teachers aides the teacher has help a large part of the day. I know that many, many private schools have K classes with more than 22 students per K class with no full time aide. [/quote] Not any private I ever toured and I have toured pretty much most of them in the area. DC, Maryland and Virginia. Never saw a K class with 22 or more kids and no assistant.[/quote]
