I'd hate the car ride, and would be upset with the new surroundings, but I do know the daughter very well and she is very affectionate with me.

So, which way do you think I would be happier (or less miserable)? In my own house, but lonely....or in an unfamiliar house with company? (Before you suggest the daughter move in to MY house temporarily, she cannot do it this time because of her own family responsibilities.)
