1) I can stay in my own familiar house, with someone to come in daily to feed me, give me a little loving, and keep my litter box clean. I'd be alone 23.5 hours a day, and while I'd be on familiar turf, I think I'd get lonely and bored.
2) My owner/companion (who is the bestest in the world) can drive me over to her adult daughter's house an hour away, and I would live with the daughter for the 9 days. I'd hate the car ride, and would be upset with the new surroundings, but I do know the daughter very well and she is very affectionate with me.
So, which way do you think I would be happier (or less miserable)? In my own house, but lonely....or in an unfamiliar house with company? (Before you suggest the daughter move in to MY house temporarily, she cannot do it this time because of her own family responsibilities.)
Thank you, my fellow felines!
Normally, I would say stay home but, since you know the daughter I would say go to the daughter's house. Bring your favorite place to sleep and kitty litter. Maybe a shirt or something with your owner's smell?
