She wasn’t crazy. He had to justify his behavior so he misconstrued her actions. “See, she’s nuts so I’m justified in doing...” Then as he gets more distant, angry, lying, etc she gets suspicious and paranoid and that gives him even more of an excuse.

Some of the best dating advice is to cut and run when any man tells you his ex is “crazy.”  There’s usually a reason she was like that - and he’s usually the reason! In any case, it shows a real immaturity and unwillingness to admit what he did to contribute to the downfall of the relationship. BIG red flag.[/quote]
