A lot of what is going into the star ratings is in the Tier ratings now, and DCPS gathers the same data and reports on it on the school profile pages (but no rankings/comparisons are made). But this will be the first time we've had an easy apples to apples comparison tool or summary.

PARCC scores -- both % of students who reach proficiency (score 4 or 5) and growth (improve year to year) are a big part of the score but not the only factor.
