Hello, I had a natural miscarriage at 10 weeks (fetus stopped growing at 6 weeks). I managed the pain with ibuprofen. This time it’s a blighted ovum and I will be taking misoprostol. I was prescribed Motrin for the pain. Wondering if I will need something stronger and if I should ask for Zofran. I do not have a high tolerance for pain and and reading about other people’s experiences is making me panic.
Isn't blighted ovum at an early stage, why do you need misoprostol for it?
Np here. It can take a while for the body to recognize the blighted ovum. Mine was seen on an u/s at 7w, and I decided to wait it out. My m/c didn't happen until 11w. And I'll just say it was more painful than I expected, and took about 4 days, from the initial cramping until my body expelled what it needed to expel. I'm okay with my decision at the time to wait out a natural mc, but I wouldn't necessarily do it again.
