Even that is considered a discretionary transfer, they are not obligated to let you stay in APS unless your child will be a high school senior in the fourth quarter of the school year when you move. APS has not allowed non-grandfathered discretionary transfers for non-residents for a few years now because our schools are too crowded. Of course, you could always just call APS and ask them rather than posting it to DCUM if you’d like a more official answer.[/quote]
