There is absolutely no reason for the coach to be in the car.  Coaches who are predators get to the parents as well.  They build the trust their first so the parents are also telling the kid isn't Coach Bob wonderful, he is so great etc.

I’m not going to click the link because it looks odd, but I don’t agree that a coach cannot be giving rides appropriately. I’m a former teacher and coach and often gave kids rides to their home or Metro, or even along with me on an errand. I don’t know that this is still commonly done with all the abuse and molestation reports coming out seems like weekly, but this was not unusual in the communities I taught in. Another teacher I know gave students his cell phone number so they could text him about homework, soccer practice, etc. [/quote]
