Listen to this post and get custody modified ASAP--if ex hasn't already run away before the lawyers and court can get it done. If he's flatly refusing to give out any information about how to reach him, yet he has joint custody, it sounds like you have a good case for getting 100 percent custody. What has he said about custody while he's gone, OP? Nothing?  Is he really indicating this is a permanent move? It's not some very poorly worded idea of a vacation, possibly, and he actually expects to be back--?

And if he vanishes with no further contact, then after a certain amount of time there would be a case for claiming parental abandonment and termination of his parental rights. Something to keep in mind if he goes and disappears. You won't want him popping back up years from now claiming he wants joint custody back.
