When my kid was U9, I saw this was happening frequently in age groups above us and any prospectives get a chance on A team tryout field.  No kids from lower teams allowed on there.  I guess kids don’t change or develop after 8 years old, right?

Anyways, I saw enough to know it wasn’t the place for us.  A lot of parents have blinders in or think it would never happen to their kid.  They find out the hard way with no backup plan.[/quote]

It’s a sport. Just because you practice for years and are better vs a lot of people who have not had the training does not mean you are guaranteed anything. You have to remember some of the kids coming from other clubs are the top or within the top 3 or 4 players on that team. Tryouts are tough. Lots of time teammatew will not pass to the new kid.
