This can be true, but you can have an hour a week if you want. It is just a type of therapy - actually a type of behavioral therapy, so it can impact all kinds of behavior. More intense programs are just often focused on autistic kids. We are about to start a 10-15 hour program where he will get a few hours every day of the week. I see no reason ABA couldn't help with this. You would just need to be sure your therapist understands what you are looking for. Occupational therapy can also help with what you are describing by giving him new techniques to deal with emotions and focus. [/quote]
