This, coupled with your writing styles, leads me to believe you are a very dramatic and possibly manipulative person. She is probably happier and better off not having you in her life and just being out $2k.

Ask yourself- do you want to pay her back because you truly believe it is the right thing to do, or because you want to keep yourself in her life and have ulterior motives?

The best thing you can do is use that money towards therapy.
