Private school. Either one of the traditional DC privates or, for some families, the Jewish schools (JPDS or Chas E Smith).[/quote]

I live in the neighborhood, had a child at Shepherd, and know many families still there.  Definitely a few leave for JPDS in the early grades (now renamed Milton).  I don't know anyone who left for CESJDS.  A few others leave for other privates.  However, I would not describe it as a mass exodus leaving in any one grade--more like a trickle.[/quote]
