Folks: schools closing will not be based on possible attendance. It will be based on state of the rods / parking lots / temps, etc.
LOL.. no they seem to pull closing out of their *ss. I mean I can't think of any other reason why they are even closed today. Seriously though, if they close tomorrow I will be livid.
You're an imbecile. >y roads have not been plowed (they haven't been plowed all year) and the snow on them has not melted yet.
have you left your house? I drove today and the roads were 100% clear. There isn't even enough snow to really plow. Plows are just scraping pavement at this point.
The main roads are fine but not neighborhood and secondary roads.
And this is why so many folks get mad about these closing decisions. Why can't FCPS come up with snow bus routes for these areas? How many of these places have folks completely stranded in their houses, unable to drive anywhere, at this point today? It's one thing if main roads are still bad, it's another if every little cul de sac isn't plowed. And yes, I completely understand that not every student in FCPS has access to someone to drive them to school. But if that's the case, odds are that they have access to public transit and hence, a main road. So over these decisions which are overly cautious.
