It seems to me from my interactions with the school and from friends who have boys there that they're not encouraging the boys to grow up too fast. As for "moderate Catholics," I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. We consider ourselves to be neither liberal Catholics nor conservative Catholics, but simply faithful to the teachings of the Church. That means that in modern U.S. politics we are conservative on certain issues and liberal on others. But we do not oppose Church teaching anywhere that She has a clear teaching. So perhaps you wouldn't consider us "moderate" if by "moderate" you mean "willing to disregard Church teaching where it's unpopular."
