You need to tell the wife your house rules. "Larloshi, in this house we do not leave food in the bedrooms. Please take all the dishes out of the guest room and bring them in the kitchen. Also, although it's been lovely having a visit with you, we need to get back to our normal routine, so our last day together will have to be Wednesday. It's been so great spending time with you." Never allow the son over again.
THIS! Print it out and read it verbatim (except the part about Larloshi, which made me burst out laughing.) AND I would not have any problem going into the guest room and waking Larloshi Jr up and kicking him out of bed so that dishes can be taken out. There is no way in hell I would allow some spoiled 20-something to hold my guest room hostage.
