It was stained (or weathered) to a dark espresso color, almost black. One room had oak floors (the brown kind, not the orange kind) and the other room had terracttoa tiles. Both were gorgeous. The darkness of the ceiling made the room feel more expansive and not distracting like the picture.[/quote]
