I don't think that's so shockingly unusual, I know several couples where the woman is 10 years older and a ton where the woman is 3-5 years older. Why should it be so shocking that a woman is older, when people are so willing to accept many other kinds of non-traditional relationships? It's like the last taboo but so hard for people to accept.
