Do you need large quantities for a party or are you buying for yourself? If it's just for the family I like the packaged refrigerated ras malai and gulab jamun you can find in any Indian store. Nanak is a good brand. Even Costco had ras malai around the holidays. You would have to buy jalebis fresh. Again if you need large quantities and can't find it in a restaurant/store they may be able to connect you with someone who will cater.
Not for a party, just for ourselves, but not the packaged stuff, I want a source for the burfee, Mysore pak ladoos, etc from a display case.
In this area I have only seen fresh sweets in quantity around Diwali. The shops in NJ/NY are better stocked year-round. I have learned to make Mysore pak and Kaju barfi. Not venturing into ladoos though!
