After all, because of their relative attractiveness (better pay, better work environments), I think their feeling is why should they have to train? They would rather take someone that has been through the paces already. So, OP, you really need to get cracking and start applying to the other local districts. Get picked up by one of them, ride it out one or two years and then try again with APS. Other local systems: ACPS, FCPS, Loudon, Falls Church City.[/quote]
