The pull from this mirror will be down and you want to spread the weight over as much drywall as possible, not just the 1/4" for a screw. You are much better off getting heavy weight picture hooks, which will be for weights up to 50lbs each. Get two (which you should do anyway for anything bigger than 8x10) and nail them into wall. That said, the best approach if this is heavy is the idea of screwing a thin board to the wall, with the screws going into studs, and then using that to hang the mirror from.[/quote]
