I'm wondering if POTUS might actually have some evidence of wiretapping.  Maybe he was in contact with the Russians himself, and so was caught up in surveillance that was levied against the Russians.

Given the tenuous connections to facts many of his supporters need, if there is even a whiff of truth to this allegation it would be enough to deflect and discredit anything that was found through surveillance...even if the surveillance was legal and the findings were damning.  I mean, again, it's *this* POTUS so all of this might be giving him too much credit for strategery...but it could be an advantage he ends up stumbling into.[/quote]
