Are you really anti-the Appletree curriculum/methodology? Because, if not, I'd move it way up. Why on earth would you commute all the way to 2R Young or Logan or ITS (do you work near there???) if you could go basically next door instead? I'd totally get it if you were looking to lock in 2R through MS, but for PK? Seems crazy to me. The folks I know are really happy at AP LP and it's practically a neighborhood school insofar as virtually everyone there is zoned for Brent, Maury, Watkins or Miner, which is a plus in my mind.
We are at ITS and Love it but I agree if you're planning on going Maury long term, I'd definitely move AT to #2. Why commute if you don't have to?
+1 -- this is what Appletree is for. Why put those other schools higher if you don't plan to stay there?
Maybe she doesn't want her child to be subjected to the academically focused curriculum and disciplinarianism at Appletree? I get that you all chafe at the idea of someone who isn't going to stay at a school taking a spot, but OP needs to do what is best for her kid. That said, commute is an important factor to consider.
