I refuse to cut bangs on my one year old and she allows clips only half of the time. These hair bands are perfect for baby fine hair. They don't slip out (and she can't yank them herself). For some reason all of the similar products available are thicker bands and slide right off. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scunci-Girl-Hair-Bands-500-count/12443700?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1150&adid=22222222228016679593&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=40844098352&wl4=pla-56956513145&wl5=1027217&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112549851&wl11=online&wl12=12443700&wl13=&veh=sem Oh and don't order them off of Amazon, they'll send you a "similar product" and they won't work.
The most effective hair clip I've found is the old school plastic ones I had when I was little (the actual ones I used to wear) that look like this https://www.amazon.com/Goody-Girls-Sassy-Hinge-Barrettes/dp/B00ACMHJY6/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1485958185&sr=8-1&keywords=plastic+hair+clip+little+girl I've tried the snap style clips and they come right out. But the no ouch hair bands I've found to be the most effective, by far. The only thing I can get to stay in most (if not all) of the day. If you don't like the Cindy Loo Hoo spout style, then go for more the 80s look where you sweep the hair in the front to one side and rubber band it there. At this age, it's more about function than looks. It'll grow longer soon enough so you can do a style you prefer.
