Why? What a weird non-sequitur.

People who can’t figure out by themselves how to frickin’ relax. I don’t have to poll a message board when I have a day off. It’s weird.

I could come up with 100 different things to do...even during Covid.

Sure, I could, too. But what if the 101st idea that someone else came up with was better because they knew about something you didn't? Or had already vetted a destination during Covid times and could report back on it. Crowd sourcing is a smart way to diversify your options with limited effort, and then you can cherry pick the best ideas. Also, OP specifically said that she has ways to relax (running, hiking, reading) but was looking for something different than she's done before.

OP, not sure about your indoor comfort level, but the National Gallery has timed passes right now and it feels pretty safe. Everyone wears masks and they limit the number of people in each room. If you miss museums, you could get your fix there and then eat lunch or grab coffee in the sculpture garden.

OP, I’m so excited for you. This sounds amazing!

OP - do you like houseplants/gardening? There is a cute little plant nursery near me that I’ve been going to a lot since the pandemic started. I just love looking around in the gardens, (they also have a fountain and benches) and sometimes I treat myself to a new plant or a planter.

My thing has been hiking in RCP, which I know you said isn’t what you want to do, but I’m always amused and slightly jealous of the people who bring hammocks, tie them between a couple trees (by rapids bridge is a great spot) and hang out there and read. One day I’ll do that, with a picnic lunch...

Window shopping in a nice district.

Do some research on local architecture and do a walk to see some sites. Maybe an out of the way old church or other building? You don't have to go inside, even if they are open.

Make a cozy spot in the back seat of your car, park in the sun, crack the windows, and do your nails
.

I was going to say this except read or nap (if it's not nice enough to do outside).

I love the car idea! I snuck out of my DD’s lax game a couple weeks ago when the weather was sunny but cool, so I could lay the seat back and doze! It was so wonderful.

I think I might like the enjoy the weather in a nearby park with a cozy beach chair, book, and a glass of wine.

Do you have a friend with a jacuzzi? My dream right now as the weather is getting cooler is to dip into a jacuzzi after the kids go to bed.
