I give them with one caveat - I don't want them back. After you are done with them, I do not care what you do with them - donate, sell, or pass on. I *would* take them, but my boys are the oldest we know, so we don't have anyone to get them from. |
I don't like GETTING them because I'm picky about style and fabric, and I feel bad not taking and/or using what a well-meaning person offers. But I do like reusing clothes. So I buy most of my kids' clothes secondhand, at thrift stores and tot-swap places, so I can be as picky as I want.
I then pass on the stuff they outgrow that's still got life in it to people who like hand-me-downs, or I donate them back to a thrift store if they're still good, or I recycle them at H&M and get a 15% off coupon (if they're in bad shape). |
YES I love hand me downs my son is 15 I very very rarely buy him clothes due to older family members and friends, and if I do it’s charity shops/eBay, saved a fortune over the years |
Maybe she used the money she made to buy other clothes for her kids? |
