Depends on her current situation.

+1. I'd advise not pursuing ART because it's been a huge time and money suck for every early 40s woman I know who has.

Find an early 30's guy until someone more age appropriate arrives on the scene.

Quit coming to a 50+ thread and live your life, you don't really think you will have these problems anyway.

NP- see, that’s where you’re wrong. Those of us in our early 40’s have always looked up to you all who are now in your early 50s. Your were the true subjects of all of John Highes’s films. You were cooler, wore cuter clothes (we got stuck with keds...followed by flannel shirts and light denim jeans that were baggy on our buts and tight on our calves. We’ve always wanted...nay, needed...your advice. Hand it over ladies. Get back to that moment where you were THE senior, staring at your beautiful hair, and vaguely remember that little neighbor girl who always ran out the door when Keith’s Trans-Am would pull into your driveway.

Ok, now seriously, we are all old ladies...just hand over the goods!!

I wouldn't presume to "give advice" to anyone simply because they were younger than I am. Ever.

Do not stop exceeding strenuously. Take and don’t stop spin class. Work out w a trainer and plan to until you die.

I’m not 50 yet but reading this forum I have learned the following things so far:
1. Take care of your health -get physical, dental, resolve those minor issues or elective surgery you have been putting off as it takes body longer to heal older you get.
2. Start eating healthy and exercise routine to keep off weight
3. If you have been thinking about leaving your partner/ get a new partner do it now while you are still looking relatively youthful
4. Do that safari or other active travel you have been putting off. Cruises can wait
5. Start looking at your finances and where you might want to live for the next 30 years in active retirement and beyond

OK, I'll bite. Hey 40's you should value your time. In the long run your career will matter to you less and less. If your kids are screwed up it will haunt you forever. Kids are like gardens, weed them yourself and weed them early to avoid problems with the crop later (crop=kids).

Wear sunblock 365, yes you will care and a lot of women start getting skin cancer from past sins now.

Stop spending money on stupid things. In your 50's you will be wiser and feel like a fool to spend $$$ on designer handbags and shoes. Save your money and invest it while time is on your side.

No one ever said in their 50's "I wished I had worked more and enjoyed life less."
