Hipster Haircut in Mclean/Tysons/Falls Church

I am a 36yo mom, who doesn't want to look like a soccer mom. I have fine, dish water blonde hair, and need an over haul. Short version, I just want something edgier, not out there.

You'll probably be better off going to DC. McLean/Tysons/Falls Church isn't exactly cutting edge. (not that DC is, but more so than those places...)

Yeah you aren't going to find that in McLean ... this will be a trek for you, but it's the most hipster salon I've been to in the DC area:

Thanks! I’m at the point where I’m willing to trek.

Vidal Sassoon at Tysons Galleria. It's pricey but they specialize in edgy modern cuts.

Interesting, my bias was to associate them with the early 90s.

What is a hipster hair cut? All I think is man bun.

For men: grow it long and put in a man bun. Or keep it short and stick it in a winter hat in the summer.

For women: I have no idea.

For women, not preppy, not overly styled, tends to be low maintenance without being boring. Doesn’t need a flat iron or curling iron or a blow out to look complete/fashionable.

And what does this look like, a bob?

I'm thinking a shattered bob, like this? No idea if this ranks as hipster. https://www.pinterest.com/explore/shattered-bob/

Need to wear a shirt that says "I run with scissors" with this cut.

The shattered bob is hideous. Don't pay for it, let a kid cut it for free.
