The principal announced today that the final candidates for the new mascot, voted on by the students, will either be the Justice Jayhawks or the Justice Wolves. "Raiders" was one of five finalists from an earlier round of voting, but didn't make the final cut.
This will sever any connection to JEB Stuart's troops, who conducted raids into Union states and returned to the South with black men and children to place in bondage. Great news! |
