Sometimes you can talk to your child but they are not really listening. Sometimes I will have my child to repeat what I said to make sure they understand. Hope this helps.

LOL. My niece could not believe her father was my brother and her grandmother was my mother. This despite all the stories we've shared about when her father and I were kids. Kids view the world as it applies to them. |
| Love these stories |
That's hilarious! Just like a kid not to even notice her sister is gone for a couple of days every two weeks. Just more attention for meeeeeeeeeeee !

i love reading this ..my dd is only a year and a half years old ..
my nephew found it funny knowing his grandmother is my mother too.. he just turned 5 |
My 3 year old is having a hard time wrapping his head around that concept. He and his same-age cousin played a game of "she's my Nana!" "No, she's my Nana!" for almost an entire day during the last visit. No amount of explaining that she is Nana to both of them would suffice. The adults all wanted to bang their heads against the wall. |
| My third was 5 before he realized his older brother and sister were twins. And therefore, had the same birthday. I found it hilarious that this concept was so mind-blowing for him. |
