You are advanced maternal age. So it's likely that there are birth defects involved or you have an undiagnosed immune disorder (hashimotos).

When trying (mid-30s) I had frequent chemical pgs. Also got pregnant fairly easily. I ended up on aspirin for 30 weeks and had a successful pg. Sorry you are going thru this, I know it is draining and sad.

Hello!

Have you had your hormones checked? I have high androgen and my body rejects male fetuses.

Once I conceived a female I had no issues. I can take some andro lowering hormones that supposedly would keep me from rejecting the fetus.

I'm sorry, OP. I've had 2 m/cs (7-8 weeks) and a chemical pregnancy, but eventually carried 2 babies to term. Good luck. <3

OP here. I did go to a RE and they could find nothing wrong with me or my husband except that one fallopian tube seems to be scarred. But that doesn't explain why I keep miscarrying. I would think that would hinder conception but that's not happening (thank God!). We don't have enough money for any type of fertility treatment and insurance doesn't cover any of it. We have not given up hope and keep trying. I have one child and am lucky for that. We would have loved a second, but if that's not in the cards, then so be it. Thanks everyone for the advice and kind words.

OP here. It is usually around the 6-7 week mark. One was a little farther along. That one was very difficult as we got to the ultrasound and saw the sac and pole but it didn't progress. Like I said, we're continue to try.

OP here. It is usually around the 6-7 week mark. One was a little farther along. That one was very difficult as we got to the ultrasound and saw the sac and pole but it didn't progress. Like I said, we're continue to try.


from what I read the critical weeks for MC are week 7 and then 12.

my sister in law has now had 5 miscarriages back to back. After going to 3 doctors they were able to identify a bold clotting condition which is easily treatable by taking baby aspirin when trying to get pregnant and during the pregnancy. My niece is now 5 months old.

Do you mean the risk drops significantly after 7 and 12 weeks? Or that miscarriages tend to happen at 7 and 12 weeks?

the risks drops significantly. 8 is higher risk than 12 but 12 is a bigger drop

Had a friend that kept miscarrying until one stuck and has significant genetic issues. I would recommend IVF and check for abnormalities before implantation.
