I don't think I ever loved my husband. I mean, I fell in love with who i THOUGHT he was. A couple of years in, I realized he is SOOOO far from being the smart, accomplished, put together guy I fell in love with.
These days, all I see is a lazy, socially awkward dork who has little ambition. He hasnt even started a 401k. I am so afraid he will drown us. |
What are you doing to live up to your role in this relationship? All I hear is blame and criticism. He doesn't live in a vacuum, if you are subjecting him to this everyday, he can't possibly be thriving. Deal with your issues first and be the partner you promised to be when you entered into this marriage. |
Wow you fell in love with him because you thought he had a 401K? How did he pretend to be smart before you got married? In what way is he not "put together"? What are you bringing to the table? You sound like a terrible human being. Maybe you should just divorce now and give him a chance to find someone who respects him. |
Doesn't it suck when the ATM runs out of cash? Who can love that? |
I feel like social awkwardness is pretty easy to spot, but wipe just try to write issues off as quirks. Is this what you did OP or did he really convince you he wasn't awkward? |

lol at all of these replies |
Sounds like you weren't in love.
Dump the loser and move on. There is still time for you to be happy. |
OP, if you don't have child or children with this person then this is your wake up call. |
The fact is, you don't need all that heady hormonal chemistry to have a happy marriage, but it's important to have felt romantic love at some point in your life. |
DTMFA. |
The usual 'what are you doing for me' |
You married a jerk. Cut your losses and move on NOW, while you're still young and have time to find your soulmate. |
This is why you wait until they've made partner to marry them. |
Have you started a 401k? Are you a wage earner?
