Tell me about Seaworld Orlando!

Anonymous
My kids love animals and I am trying to plan an animal themed trip to Orlando. I am considering Seaworld since we would be able to see many different marine animals. I am trying to decide if this would be a good option for our family, or if there is something better in the area. I've heard about Seaworld mistreating animals, but it seems like they are trying to change their practice. Thanks.

Seaworld was always one of my favorite parks, going back over twenty years.

Better go now before the do-gooders shut it down completely.

Seaworld has agreed to stop their breeding program and will phase out the shows.

Please watch Blackfish before going. You may reconsider.

Wrong question to ask on this board. I have seen blackfish. I still like seaworld.

I enjoyed the show as a child. Now as an adult after watching Blackfish, I'd never go back. I hope they stop the shows soon because it's really horrifying

This reminds me of the line from the new Ghostbusters where the tour guide at the Aldrich Mansion says "it was in this room that P.T. Barnum first had the idea to enslave elephants." It could just as easily have been referring to Seaworld enslaving marine mammals. Ridiculous place and it can't be shut down fast enough.

we had a great time with kids age 4 and 7. At that time it was off season and got a second day for free--we didn't plan on using it but we did. It is a manageable park, 2 roller coasters only, some other kiddie rides. We did a Penguin encounter which meant a special tour and reserved seating for the main show. we liked it.
