Yes, there's a band and then there's the singer. Sometimes it's just liking the voice or not. Lots of the bands here listed have very distinctive lead singer voices, like U2. Most everyone likes them or is neutral but I would bet the people who don't just don't like Bono's voice so that nudges them over to dislike.

Neil Young's voice is awful.

Whoever said they hate Journey, maybe now with Arnel Pineda as a poor man's Steve Perry, or Brucker it's so overplayed. But Steve Perry in his prime was the best. Fucking. Singer.

I used to feel the same way about fleetwood mac, and I'm still with you on Stevie nicks, but once I discovered Christine Mcvie's songs, that changed it for me. She's great.
