Anyone not voting for HRC or Trump or not voting at all?

No way am ***I*** going to compromise my deep personal beliefs!) are more important than the actual outcome of the election. Fine, but then own it. The way you feel about YOURSELF is more important than the impact this election, and specifically a Trump presidency, could have on OTHERS.

Calm down! I'm only considering writing in because we are in such a deep blue state. I wouldn't be pulling stunts in a swing state.

Honestly, it truly hurts me that neither party could come up with a candidate who I admire or respect. This has got to be one of the worst election years ever. Even though neither Democrats or Republicans have appealed to me in recent years, Bernie is a guy that I respect. Basically, in my case if I do vote, then it will be a vote for the individual who I think is less evil. Just the thought of either one of these monsters being the president of The United States makes me want to vomit. I'm sad, disgusted, and scared about this election. It's like a real life horror film where you have to choose rather you want to be bit by a snake or attack by a wolf.

Absolutely agree with everything you said! I am so dismayed with this election and our "choice" in candidates.

I'll go a step further and say its a sad state of affairs when I think Ted Cruz would have been the better republican choice!

I was a Kasich & Christie supporter BTW.

A 3rd party vote is basically a vote away from one of the lesser of two evils, which means a vote for the more evil one. I agree that neither of the two are great candidates, but if you don't vote for one, it's a de facto vote for the other.

It all balances out then. An R who hates both votes third party. A D who hates both votes third party. They cancel out each other.

It all depends on how many people actually go out and vote.

period

And in this election you don't know b/c so many people are quiet Trump supporters.

I was in the New England area a few weekends ago. There was a radio show where they asked people to call in who were going to vote Trump even though they won't admit it publicly. The results were overwhelming. The hosts were actually getting pretty upset that person after person was calling in saying pretty much "Yep, voting for Trump - won't admit it for fear of being called racist."

Shame on all you people who will vote for third party and leave a possibility of President Donald J. Trump.

In your opinion.

Seriously. WTF? Just because certain people on the right have made a cottage industry of vilifying Hillary doesn't make it true. But, hey, if you repeat a story enough (she's crooked!) apparently some morons will buy it.

It's rather standard practice here that people state their opinions, no? For the record, it's my opinion also that Trump is a demagogue who appears to think he is a demigod who can solve all problems because he has such an amazing brain. What is not my opinion is the fact that his speeches are filled with lies and nonsense that put Hillary's much touted untrustworthiness to shame.

Vote for the candidate that represents your views. That is what democracy is all about.

If you want to compromise and vote for one of the two idiots, then that is fine too. I just don't like it when you criticize someone who wants to vote for their convictions. Trust me, if a third party starts getting 15%-20%, that is sending a message to the two parties and it might be the start of something bigger down the line...

Nothing will happen because there is NO THIRD PARTY. There are some candidates who get their name associated with a party, rather than the party crowing a representative after a primary. So the third party has no infrastructure, no unified strategy, no uniform party platform, no party organizers, and no party cadre. Its literally a party for hire for somewhat known or wealthy individuals. So these individuals hire the party every 4 years during election cycle and then the party is idle until the next person shows up to hire the party.

That a third party will somehow someway gather momentum to challenge the two party system has been the pipe dream for over 200 years. Structurally, there is no space for another party to grow. Unless there is constitutional changes or decades of tradition, credible third party alternative simply won't happen.

I wish libertarians would get their shit together and actually start voting for their own candidates.

I would normally vote for Jill Stein. What pushed me over the edge to vote for Hillary is her support for both the Iraq War and bombing other countries. As a liberal, I also want to do more of those type of things.

If you do not want Trump to be president vote for Hillary.

If you want Bill and Tim to be president vote for Hillary. Are you not reading the medical assessment stories? She doesnt deny them.

Nope. I don't have that luxury. My family is a minority that Trump likes to go after.

The way I see it, if Libertarians play their cards right by voting for Hillary in swing states ensuring her victory this election, they can play an important role in the creating a new party platform after Trump loses and causes the R's to implode.

Fiscally you are already aligned with Paul Ryan-types, just have to get the R's to lay off the social/values stuff and I think you'd have a viable party.

But for now...Libertarians, and even Berners need to focus on electing Hillary in November and then stacking their local and state reps with like minded candidates.

Please?

Except, there's an overwhelming amount of evidence to back up the Trump's lies and shadiness. You don't even have to analyze his body language or read between any lines. He lies straight to your face and there's many, many cases of crooked, shady dealings. (And that's without him releasing his tax returns or releasing anyone from their non-disclosures agreements.
