A 3rd party vote is basically a vote away from one of the lesser of two evils, which means a vote for the more evil one.    I agree that neither of the two are great candidates, but if you don't vote for one, it's a de facto vote for the other.[/quote]

It all balances out then.  An R who hates both votes third party. A D who hates both votes third party.  They cancel out each other.

It all depends on how many people actually go out and vote.

I was in the New England area a few weekends ago. There was a radio show where they asked people to call in who were going to vote Trump even though they won't admit it publicly. The results were overwhelming. The hosts were actually getting pretty upset that person after person was calling in saying pretty much "Yep, voting for Trump - won't admit it for fear of being called racist."[/quote]
