How do you know the person you are posting about does not read DCUM?

Generally we have a pretty good idea of who reads DCUM or not, and if there's a doubt, we can always change a few details. Signed, DCUM |

| I've been on DCUM for 7 years. Never posted about a person. Of course I'm "nicer" than many posters on here. But you shouldn't buy into the concept that everyone here is gossipy or a total snark. |

1. I try to keep things more about my reaction than the other person's actions and 2. why I am glad DCUM is anonymous! |

I assume most people tweak the facts like I do.
For example, if you are bitching about your son's third grade teacher who did X, you post about your (fake) daughter's fourth grade teacher who did Y. |

I don't know. I posted something negative about mlm last week. Didn't start the post. Like one thing on page 7. No specifics.
Later that same day, I saw two FB posts from friends -- one gently posting their product--as I said I enjoy a gentle nudge from mlm. And another posted a really snarky mysterious post about working hard, and at least she's not giving up. It's at that point I decided I might be on the Truman show. Nah...but weird. |

| I have once or twice posted about specific people but not mentioning anything about them which is specific (within the context of an existing thread started by someone else) in the hope that they see it. Just to vent. I'm sure they never did though. |

| I'm not in the area anymore but it's nice to have a forum where you can anonymously post on a wide variety of topics. So if the majority is actually in the DC area my chances of "crossing paths" are slim. |
