How do you know the person you are posting about does not read DCUM?

I will change certain details. I might have said Brazil if it was really Croatia or change the procedure if it wasn't relevant. If someone is complaining about a bad face lift or nose job or boob job, it doesn't matter. The annoyance factor is the same. If you are sick of hearing about it, you are sick of hearing about it.

I always change a few details w/out compromising the integrity of my story just in case.

Any and everyone probably does the same thing w/out having to worry that what they share will get lost in translation.

I change small details just to be safe. I might change the age of my kids by a year or their gender. Or my specific location.

I posted about an office crush. If a single guy in his 30s who doesn't live in dc reads DCUM, I won't have a crush on him anymore.

For other stuff, I change minor details.

Only person I post about is MIL who doesn't do much online and doesn't live around here. I do fear that local friends will recognize my horror stories though, since of course none of us admit to reading DCUM.
