Crazy man. He's going to kill himself.
|
He's crazy if he does that. |
wtf? you have bigger problems OP. |
911 Dispatcher here........Please don't.
If you would like assistance with a dispute with your husband you can call the non emergency number and Officers can try and mediate. However he has a legal right to cut a tree down on his own property so if he insists then theres not much the Police can do. |
OP here. My question actually was - will police dissuade him from cutting the tree? Would they talk him out of it? |
OP here.
Thanks, 911 dispatcher. |
911 dispatcher, you should do an AMA |
I think a possible option would be to have a contractor cut down the tree before your husband can. If you make enough calls you can probably get someone out there within a day. Make sure the contractor is insured. Have them leave the stump for your husband to hack on. He'll eventually need to call someone to remove the stump, though. |
Only after he chops it down on himself. |
This is not a 911 call situation.
This is also not a police situation. Neither entity exists to mediate your marital disputes. |
Unless there are signs of gross negligence then no. ( I just asked an Officer in the room with me) |
Don't call 911 until he gets hurt cutting down the tree. |
I did one a couple of years ago, not much interest. |
Take out a large life insurance policy and move on. He's going to do what he's going to do. |
No! Not until it falls on him. |
