Men: Do you have to pee in the middle of the night?

My DH is almost 50 and has to pee in the middle of the night most nights, sometimes a couple of times.

His doctor (who is excellent and thorough) did not seem alarmed. Is this typical for anyone else?

Yes. And I wish it was only a couple of times. Dr. did not seem alarmed also.

Yep enlarged prostate happens as men age. Getting old sucks

at least once, usually 2x, sometime more. Started in my mid-40's. Now, if I ever turn over and wake up, I go to the bathroom, because it saves me waking up later.

Nope. I'm 51 and still have not had that issue yet (knock on wood). I know it happens to a lot of guys our age, but not me yet.

Yay...I slept through the night without having to Pee. And I woke up with normal blood sugar. Now of to take my 10 meds for breakfast....Mmmm...Lipitor....

Get his PSA checked. My dad was up at night a lot and the doctor wasn't phased. A couple of years later he was diagnosed with prostate cancer which, unfortunately in his case unlike most, is quite aggressive.

I don't think they do PSA's anymore. Or, they don't see it the same way anymore.
